Acupuncture
Using ‘East meets West’ philosophies, we use acupuncture to restore your body’s natural flow of energy (or Qi).
Specifically selected points are used in treatment using very fine needles. Moxibustion (herbal heat sticks), cupping and massage may also be incorporated into the treatment.
The following disorders are commonly treated with acupuncture:
- sleep disorders
- stress, anxiety and depression
- pain and pain management
- ear, nose, throat and eye disorders
- headache and migraine
- soft tissue injuires
- management of menopausal symptoms
- lung problems, including allergies and asthma.
Remedial massage
Remedial massage at NIH involves a session with a highly skilled professional massage therapist trained in assessing your situation and treating it accordingly.
We treat a wide range of complaints including tight muscles due to work-posture, soft tissue injury (acute or chronic), pregnancy massage (pre and post), sports massage, headaches and fatigue syndromes that may affect the muscles and joints.
Remedial masseurs may also help you relax with a general treatment if no specific complaint is presented.
